Marvel at its beautiful mansions, ornate palaces and cobbled streets on a walking tour, before taking a break for lunch at bustling Piazza del Campo. Continue your journey through San Gimignano and the idyllic landscapes of rural Tuscany en route to your hotel in Montecatini Terme, where you’ll relax over more tasty Italian fare.
DAY 4 CASTELLO DEL TREBBIO Tuscany’s cuisine is undeniably one of the region’s biggest draws. Today will be a real highlight for food lovers as you’ll get to visit the 12th century Castello del Trebbio and enjoy a private cookery class. We’ll learn all about the tastes and aromas of traditional Tuscan cooking and prepare our very own feast accompanied by amazing local wines from the historic estate’s own vineyards.
DAY 5 MONTECATINI TERME- at leisure Have a day completely to yourself or book onto our optional excursion to stunning Cinque Terre. The coastal region is made up of five remote cliff top villages overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. As they’re inaccessible by road, the trip will involve discovering two on a relaxing boat journey.
DAY 6-FLORENCE - TORRE A CONA You can’t visit Tuscany without exploring Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Stroll across the enchanting Ponte Vecchio, admire the magnificent Duomo and marvel at the city’s glorious architecture during a guided tour.
After lunch, the Torre a Cona wine estate awaits you just outside the city. Owned by Count Rossi di Montelera, we’ll embark on a tour of its historic wine cellars and sample four fine wines paired with local nibbles.
